We are drawn to rattan, marble, stoneware, wood, cotton and tactile finishes because they bring quiet individuality to everyday spaces. Our approach is simple: understand the nature of a material, respect its character and describe it honestly.
Rattan: natural warmth and woven texture
Rattan is one of the defining materials of Layered Lounge. Its woven structure brings softness to shelves, tables and practical storage, while natural variation gives every piece a relaxed, individual character.
Variations in tone, weave and finish are part of the material’s appeal rather than something to disguise.
Marble and stone: shaped by nature
No two cuts are exactly the same. Differences in veining and tone give marble its individual presence, grounding softer layers of linen, upholstery and rattan.

Substantial and tactile, Portuguese stoneware brings crafted detail to everyday meals as naturally as it does to a considered tablescape.

In the bedroom, material is experienced most closely. Our Portuguese cotton bedding creates a soft, calm foundation—comfortable to live with and easy to layer through tone and texture.
